Although it is such a powerful force, our society minimizes it. Research tells us that society will let us grieve for two weeks, which means that people have very little patience or no idea how long it takes to recover from a crisis.
Grief is an important part of the healing process. No two people experience grief in the same way.
In addition to being a forum where you can communicate your grief, the Miscarriage, Infant Death & Stillbirth Support Group is also a clearinghouse of information on the subject. We can recommend books and websites for further reading, and refer you to related support groups, if appropriate.
M.I.S. meets every 1st & 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7pm.
